El Rio Little League...Home of the Champs!

Please read below for Q&A related to the ERLL 2026 Spring Season

Eligibility and Registration

Q: Is ERLL a baseball or softball league?
A
: ERLL is a BASEBALL organization. We’re sometimes mistaken for our sister league, El Rio Fastpitch (softball). While majority of our players are boys, girls are also welcome to register if they prefer baseball over softball.

Q: How can I determine my child’s league age and division?
A:
League age is determined using the 2026 Little League Age Calculator. Click here to confirm your player’s league age and division.

Q: Does my player need to live or go to school within the ERLL boundaries?
A:
All players are welcome to register and play at ERLL, regardless of where they live or attend school.

However to be eligible for All Stars, players who are league age 10 or older must live or attend school within the ERLL boundaries to be eligible. Proof of residency or school enrollment will be required. No exceptions.

Q: What are ERLL’s boundaries?
A:
Click here to verify if you’re within the ERLL boundaries

Q: How do I register my player?
A:
Top right corner of this website, click the Register button. Enter all required information, enter your payment details, and submit. You will receive a confirmation email.

During the registration process you'll have the option to upload supporting documents, but this step is not required to complete registration. However, please note that a Board Member may request your player's birth certificate and residence/school eligibility documents at any time to verify eligibility.

Q: What does my registration fee go towards?
A:
Registration fees go towards the purchase of each player's uniform (jersey, hat, hoodie), basic picture package, end of season award, field usage fees, field maintenance and setup equipment, snack bar equipment, insurance, and more.

Also, each registration includes a $40 snack bar reimbursement. Work the snack bar for 2.5 hours, and you’ll be reimbursed $40. You must arrive on time and stay for the entire shift.

Q: If my player is no longer able to play, can I get a refund?
A:
Between now and Feb 6th, an 80% refund will be processed. Feb 7th through March 6th, 40% refund. March 7th and afterwards, refunds will not be processed.

Q: I registered my player online and received a confirmation email. What’s next?
A:
T-Ball (ages 4 & 5) and Machine Pitch (age 6), will receive a call from their Coach on or around February 8th.

Mini-Minor, Minors, Majors, and Juniors (ages 7 – 14) must attend player evaluations on Saturday, February 7th. You will then be contacted by a Coach on or around February 8th.

Please see the Player Evaluation section for more info.

Gear and Equipment

Q: What gear/equipment will my player need?
A:
Each player will need a glove, cleats, and baseball pants. Some optional items include baseball socks, a belt, and an undershirt. The colors for socks, undershirts, and pants will be decided by the coach, team parent, or team as a whole.

Players will also need a helmet and a baseball bat. Helmets are to be free of cracks or other visible damage, and all of the internal padding must not be missing, tattered, torn or frayed. Bats must include the USA Baseball logo. Click here for more information on bats.

In addition, a bag or some sort of backpack-style equipment bag may be needed to help players transport their equipment and keep organized; equipment, hats, and water bottles should be labeled with their names.

Q: What protection gear is needed?
A:
A protective cup is required for Mini-Minor through Juniors, ages 7 – 14. A protective cup is highly encouraged for T-Ball and Machine-Pitch, ages 4 – 6.

Catchers equipment will be provided by the league, or you may choose to purchase your own if your player is a Catcher. Required catcher’s equipment includes a catcher’s helmet, a throat protector, chest protector, and shin guards.

Season and Schedule

Q: When will I know which team my child is on?
A: Parents will be contacted between Feb 8th and Feb 10th

Q: Can I choose which team my child plays on?
A:
We do our best to honor team or coach requests in T-Ball and Machine Pitch divisions. For Mini-Minor – Juniors, teams are formed through a draft process, so we are unable to accommodate specific requests in those divisions.

Q: Can I request my child be on the same team with another player?
A:
Requests are accepted in the T-Ball and Machine Pitch divisions. In Mini-Minor through Juniors, placement together is guaranteed only for siblings.
